it’s so weird that people are shaming Beyonce for being sexual during her performance when literally in the speech in flawless says “We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings in the way that boys are." Like how do you miss the point that bad
Looked at the calendar.
August 28th (today) marks approximately 30 days since I decided to ask God to help make me a better person. It seriously doesn’t feel like that long. 30 days may not mean much to some of you, but I’m also not a super huge “commitment” type person on anything except making my money and (love) relationships.
I’ve asked God to remove some of my ugly personality traits, bless those around me, order my steps, and simply help me to take short strides towards becoming the person HE wants me to be instead of continuing to take leaps towards the person I thought I should be…and constantly failing.
If you’ve ever sent me a kind word via comment, text message, email, or any other means, I want to take this moment to thank you. I type this message now in near tears b/c I feel so full…so much happier. It’s not easy; it’s hard to change your ways from what you’ve built yourself to be, only for God to deconstruct you and build you back UP to the woman He needs you to be.
Onward and upward from here. I will continue on with this journey unafraid, as I know He’ll continue to cover and protect me against any persons or things attempting to strike me out. I share this journey with you so that some of you can get a really honest look at what it’s like…and hopefully a few of you will grab me by the hand (please use hand sanitizer though, thanks lol) and walk with me. Someday. I have no idea where the rest of all this will lead me, but wherever I’m guided, I shall keep going. God bless you all! ❤️
